Festival of Cricket for local Primary Schools

On the 9th June, the School was proud host another Cricket Festival for local schools. 60 boys and girls in years 4, 5 and 6 from Brompton Westbrook. Hilltop, Chantry School, English Martyrs, Balfour Juniors and Higham schools were able to join us on the cricket fields opposite the Vines, in the middle of Rochester.

The morning was spent with the King’s coaches and sports scholars giving some coaching of the games and techniques for Batting, Bowling and Fielding. After lunch, which was around the Edwardian pavilion with team pictures going back to the Victorian age, a series of matches were held by the 6 schools.

It was a glorious day, and in the afternoon we were pleased to also welcome parents and family spectators as they enjoyed the enthusiasm of the children.
