ELSA Support Group
Lingfield College provide facilities to enable Emotional Literacy Support Assistants meet for supervision, case study discussion and problem solving. There is also professional development opportunities including guest speakers sharing best practice.
Aims
To enable opportunity for individuals in the ELSA role to gather together to discuss cases, problem solve, share best practice and provide learning opportunities for continuing professional development.
The benefits for those in attendance is upskilling, supervision and support. This feeds into the educational psychology led intervention for promoting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people in the various schools in attendance.
Resources
This takes place every 6 weeks and lasts for approximately 2 hours. It is held in Orchard Court in the Prep School, comfortable spacious environment and refreshments are provided.
Frequency
This takes place every 6 weeks and will continue for as long as it is beneficial to those in attendance.
