Education Task Force Conference

An Education Task Force Conference was held at Redmaids' High School, organised jointly with the Bristol Women's Commission.

Aimed at young women aged 15 to 18, the conference focused on issues affecting young women in Bristol – principally their identity and personal safety.

As part of the conference, girls compiled their own manifestos and presented them to influential Bristol women, including the city's Deputy Mayor Asher Craig.

Aims

Young women from across Bristol came together at the conference to help tackle issues that they face in modern day society, such as identity and personal safety.

Background

In July 2017 the first Our Lives Our Choice conference was held (the conference held at Redmaids' High School was the third)

Pupil Involvement

The conference brought young women aged 15-18 together from different schools in Bristol.
