Dulwich Hamlet Science Day - Forces!

Pupils from Alleyn’s School share their passion and expertise in Physics with local Junior School Dulwich Hamlets.

Background

Alleyn’s Science department made direct contact with teachers from Dulwich Hamlet Junior School. Following a discussions over the term Alleyn’s and Dulwich Hamlets developed the programme to encourage an understanding and love of Physics by sharing resources.

Resources

A member of Alleyn’s staff, along with twelve year 12 students took part in numerous science lessons, teaching all year 5 pupils, approximately 120 students at Dulwich Hamlet Junior School.

Alleyn’s students dressed up as Albert Einstein and acted as teaching assistants during the classes, demonstrating various practical experiments.

Frequency

Starting in September 2016, this is an ongoing partnership with Dulwich Hamlet Junior School and will take place twice a year.
