Day Camp for Key Workers' Children
The College Day Camps ran throughout the period of school closures caused by the Covid pandemic and were highly successful. We welcomed the children of Key Workers from a number of local primary and secondary schools, as well as some from further afield. The camps provided a safe a fun environment for children aged 5-15years.
Aims
The aim was to provide access to affordable and educational day care, to enable Key Workers to continue to play their vital roles and their children to thrive despite difficult circumstances.
Background
The camps ran throughout the two periods of school closure.
Resources
Children had access to a range of school facilities including indoor and outdoor sports areas, the squash courts, climbing wall, swimming pool, the school dining hall. Parents were asked to make a financial contribution.
