Dance Platform March 2019

Edgbaston High School for Girls hosted a Dance Platform event on March 18th 2019.

University of Birmingham school were invited to perform and share chereography amongst a number of Independent and State Secondary Schools. This school performed their Climate Calling Dance

Aims

Pupils and Teachers will share expertise and a performance arena.

 

Background

This partnership is based on the links between Dance Teachers of Edgbaston High School and the Birmingham performance community. The event in March 2019 will be the first of its kind to be hosted at Edgbaston High School

 

Resources

EHS will be proving all the facilites and event managment.

Impact

We hope this event will be a real success and as well as Oldbury Academy, we hope to invite local state primary schools to come and watch the dance show

Pupil Involvement

We hope this event will be a real success and as well as Oldbury Academy, we hope to invite local state primary schools to come and watch the dance show.

The event will include EHS pupils in year 7-13 and both boys and girls (in year 7-11) from the University of Birmingham School.

The event will be the first of its kind at EHS and we hope the start of a successful performing arts partnership

Hopefully the start of regular expertise sharing and the start of many shared performance opportunities.
