Dame Kate Adie Lecture

Edgbaston High School is delighted to announce that we shall host an evening with Kate Adie, one of the country's most respected and well-known broadcast journalists.

Ms Adie, whose career has spanned over four decades, has reported from danger zones and conflicts around the globe and was a true trailblazer for women in journalism. She was this year's recipient of the Bafta Fellowship, the highest British accolade bestowed for work in film or television, and was also recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List 2018.

Ms Adie will be visiting school to deliver an inspiring and thought-provoking talk about her career, and the many challenges she has faced and overcome along the way. The evening will begin at 7.00pm and will conclude at approximately 9.30pm. It will include a question and answer session with Ms Adie and a book signing. Light refreshments will be served.
