Cubs Athletics Badge & Archery Day

Monkton hosted the Bath City Scouts for an Athletics Badge and Archery Day after the end of term. This involved the leadership of our Assistant Director of Sport who volunteered to lead and support the day, as well as provision of equipment and venue. 

Aims

To support the Bath City Scouts in delivering activities and programmes for this group. There was a need for the venue and equipment. 48 young people took part and benefited from this day.

Background

The partnership came about through the voluntary work of Monkton's Assistant Director of Sport who approached Monkton about hosting this event.

Resources

The event required teaching staff time, which was volunteered during the Monkton holiday, and the use of the venue, Monkton's equipment, as well as car parking and refreshments. 

Impact

48 pupils benefited from activities leading to them gaining their Athletics badge and archery.
