Cressex Community School Partnership

The partnership between Wycombe Abbey and Cressex Community School is a longstanding relationship, founded upon principles of mutual understanding and benefit, broadly conceived. Wycombe Abbey is a founding member of the Cressex Cooperative Learning Partnership.

Aims

We work with Cressex in two main ways: first, through the provision of literacy mentoring, whereby our Sixth Form pupils mentor readers at Cressex each week for two terms; second, through the Cressex Summer School, which is a three day event held in July, in which Wycombe Abbey teachers support the gifted and talented pupils at Cressex Community School through appropriate activities on-site at Wycombe Abbey. It is an opportunity for members of our Sixth Form and staff body to gain core skills and competencies through service.
