CPD - East Surrey Learning Partnership
A series of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events have been held within the East Surrey learning partnership. These have been focused for Primary School teachers.
The program has involved:
A three session series on 'Coding for the Classroom' at Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels.
Coaching sessions.
A Memory and Feedback session.
Aims
To develop knowledge and improve practice in targeted areas in local schools.
To gain synergy with schools benefitting from joint planning, resourcing and delivery.
Background
The program was developed collaboratively within ESLP meetings. It was felt that CPD could be delivered using Zoom tot he mutual benefit of member schools.
Resources
Initially the program has used Caterham staff to deliver, at a time when managerial and teaching resources within primary schools are needed for catch up programs and interventions.
Impact
ImapctEd recorded significant improvements in participants 'Knowledge of Coding' (18%) and 'Attitudes to Coding' (6%).
75% of participants agreed that the 'Memory and Feedback' session had altered their teaching practice.
