Connection with local retirement home

A group of residents from a local care home joined us for afternoon tea and a concert in our chapel. The students met with them and thoroughly enjoyed hosting their guests. 

Aims

To offer a source of enjoyment and ongoing connection to residents of the care home. To help the boys integrate with another area of their community. 

Background

We reached out to the care home and identified the needs of both establishments, making arrangements and joining together for a thoroughly enjoyable event. 

Resources

School facilities and staff were necessary for this to happen. Afternoon tea was provided by the school. The home has been invited back. 

Pupil Involvement

A number of pupils from across the school were involved. All pupils were members of our Mini and Student Council.
