Computing At Schools (CAS)

King's Rochester hosted the heads of Computer Science departments from several local state schools, the regional Hub Director of the National Centre for Computer Science Excellence and the Computer Science Lead mentor and teacher training co-ordinator for Kent and Medway Training. Part of the  Computing At Schools (CAS) partnership, of which King's is a Hub School of Excellence. 

Since 2023 our support has been undertaken online as/when required, with local Schools contacting our Head of Digital Learning with Computer Science related matters and we provide guidance to them and on other more curriculum related points. 

Aims

Hub meetings help schools understand how to implement the most recent developments in the constantly changing Computer Science curriculum, discuss resources and ways to improve the teaching and learning of the subject.
