Computing and DT initiatives
Headington Prep School is a lead school within the CAS network of excellence in computing teaching. The Prep School teacher who leads the school’s Digital Strategy and is Headington's Computing Subject Leader is a CAS Master Teacher and also a Hub Leader for the Oxfordshire Primary CAS Hub. These hubs provide opportunities for teachers to meet and promote and develop the teaching of computing. The teacher has helped set up the Oxford Raspberry Pi Jam in association with Oxford City Library.
Year 5 students from New Marston Primary also took part in a design technology class building model robots.
Aims
Computing At School aims to make stronger links between state and independent schools and to develop and pool resources and knowledge.
Resources
Meetings are hosted at Headington Prep School and Headington's Computing Subject Leader is the Hub Leader.
Frequency
Hub meetings take place at least three times per year.
