Minibus Charity use - Newmarket Races
Suffolk Community Foundation were given tickets that would allow 15 people to attend a day out at the Newmarket Races.

After looking into bus hire, the cost was coming in around £1,300 - the Foundation was not able to cover this expense so needed assistance for transport to Newmarket.

Ipswich School was happy to help with the loan of our minibuses as well as drivers for the day.

Sandwich Donations
The Development Office of Ipswich School donated sandwiches to feed those supported by Selig Suffolk, and Sanctuary Hostel based in Ipswich. The Selig Suffolk Trust supports the delivery of the following projects in and around Ipswich and Sanctuary Hostel provides supported accommodation for women who are homeless, or unsuitable housed.

Charity Gifts for Children in Need
Over 100 gifts were delivered to the KidsOut charity’s base in Southend just before Christmas 2020, as part of the Giving Tree scheme. The collection was organised by Year 11 pupils during their Thursday afternoon Community Service activity.

Minibus Charity Use - BEAM
BEAM is a charity that supports those who are homeless; BEAM helps people find jobs, homes and independence, as well as other opportunities.

In this instance, the charity was looking for means of transport for a group of 10 women who were going away on holiday. We were happy to give BEAM use of a minibus. In a note from BEAM following the trip, we were pleased to hear the women experienced many new activities during their time away and had a wonderful holiday; some of the women had never been on holiday before.

Music and Drama Performances
Our Music and Drama Departments have performed at Norwood care home in Ipswich as part of our Music in the Community Programme and our Community Service Programmes. The residents look forward to and enjoy our pupils' concerts and plays every year.
