St George's Day Celebration
The school joins with the church and other local state schools and community groups to present a lunch and entertainment in order to celebrate St George`s Day.

Aims:
To support local community events

The success is dependent on all being involved.

We have been involved for ten years

Resources:
The school provides performers and accompanists.

Impact:
It is an annual event, support is growing annually.

Pupil Involvement:
our pupils are girls aged 11 - 18 - all age ranges are involved from other schools and groups

Edwards Trust Remembrance Events
Edward’s Trust was set up in 1989 by Peter and Hilary Dent in memory of their son Edward, who died aged 7 of cancer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Over 25 years later the Trust still continues to provide much needed support to bereaved families. Edward’s Trust provides holistic family bereavement services supporting children, young people and parents across the West Midlands. In November of each year EHS offers full use of the school facilities for a remembrance service and concert. EHS girls regular volunteer to perform in this event.

Aims:
EHS supports a local charity supporting children and adults of all ages.

Background:
EHS were asked to support this charity in 2013 and an ongoing relationship has been established.

Resources:
EHS offer full use of facilities free of charge.

EHS support the Trust with the catering for the day.

EHS girls regularly offer to perform at the event.

EHS Technical Crew and staff support the concert event.

Impact:
EHS support a local and incredibly important charity.

Pupil Involvement:
Pupils  frequently offer to perform at this event.

Frequency:
This link will be repeated annually.

Sunrise Senior Living Concert
As part of the school Christmas programme, EHS supports Sunrise Senior Living by attending their annual Christmas concert and providing singing acts. This event takes place on a morning in early December.  Pupils from 12 years old through to 18 year perform in the event which is enjoyed by all. EHS is joined at this performance by St Georges Primary school, a local state primary school, who are also invited to perform at this concert.

Aims:
Support the local community.

Background:
Links with the local community and the school is part of the St Georges community group.

Resources:
The EHS Director of Music organises the programme with the support of music staff, musical scholars, musical students and the Outreach Co-ordinator.

Impact:
Annual concert.

Pupil Involvement:
Pupils aged 12-18 years old.

Frequency:
We are looking to support Sunrise in other calendar events.

Calthorpe Residents Society
This independent, voluntary group was founded over 40 years ago to represent the residents of the prestigious, historic and leafy Calthorpe Estate, Edgbaston by:

Monitoring planning and supporting sympathetic development, so that the Estate remains a beautiful and desirable area in which to live and work.
Strengthening communication and fostering friendliness between groups and individuals
Campaigning on issues of local concern
Edgbaston High school provides the facilities for meetings free of charge.

Resources:
All facilities provided free of charge.

Impact:
Edgbaston High School provides a base for regular meetings for the community to discuss important and contemporary issues. An example is MP Preet Gill is giving a talk at EHS on Thursday 4th October 2018 hosted by the Calthorpe Residents Society.

Pupil Involvement:
Pupils from the local area who may be from state schools are invited to attend relevant meetings/talks, for example the Preet Gill MP talk.

Frequency:
Ongoing - well established relationship.

LRTT Project- Limited Resource Teachers
Founded in 2012, LRTT is a social enterprise that upskills and energises teaching communities around the world. Music staff from EHS joined this project last Summer (2019) supporting the projects in Africa. in 2020 again EHS staff will be visiting and supporting projects in India.

Aims:
Founded in 2012, LRTT is a social enterprise that upskills and energises teaching communities around the world.

Over 1500 teachers have become LRTT Fellows energising and upskilling educators training across 11 countries.

Transformational Impact:
Our programmes are proven and sustainable impact, build local capacity and we support 2500 in-country teachers each year.

Working with 15 local partners and team leaders on every programme. We are an awarding winning social enterprise

Background:
