The Froebelian School is actively engaged with the local community and fundraising for charities. Some examples can be found below.

Every Christmas the Froebelian School Choir entertains the residents at The Willows Sheltered Housing.

As part of the launch of The Froebelian School Happiness Project we were delighted to welcome extended family and friends and members of the local community to an afternoon of music, drama, song, performance, tea and delicious cakes and buns -whilst also raising a brilliant £60 for the school charity Childline.

Working tirelessly throughout the last academic year, the whole school community, including all the children aged 3-11, their parents, families and the Froebelian Parent Teacher Association, held a number of fund raising events to support the Make a Wish Foundation.

The NSPCC visited us to let us know how much money the whole school has raised for the charity with a sponsored danceathon, a sponsored non-stop relay and a sponsored obstacle course. The Froebelian community raised a whopping £4163.85. What a fantastic effort.

The whole Froebelian community came together to donate food which we have collected for the Horsforth Live at Home Scheme as well as items for homeless people in Leeds which will be distributed by St. George’s Crypt. In addition, the children had demonstrated their ‘Creative Christina’ talents in decorating their Harvest envelopes. We raised an impressive £714 for this year’s chosen charities. We are enormously grateful to everyone who has contributed to our Harvest this year.

The Froebelian School donated IPads to the local Library. The aim was to assist with their IT help to members of the local community who are finding difficulty in using them - when historically they have had difficulty in providing the necessary help.
