Community Engagement

Aldwickbury School have a number of partnerships with the local community.

Book Buddies: Year 1 at Aldwickbury School have set up a partnership with a local care home, Willow Court, to read and share books with the residents on a weekly basis during term time. Every week, one of the three Year 1 classes visits the residents, walking over to the care home. The boys share a book with one of the residents and enjoy chatting to them over a glass of juice before walking back to School.

Redbourn Cricket Club: Aldwickbury School are one Redbourn cricket club's sponsors, includes sponsoring shirts and hoodies. They also sponsor the kit for their Under 19 team for the County T20 competition. The school provides some extra coaching for the Junior Section (Under 8 to Under 11/12) – an Australian Gap student who coaches during the Easter and summer terms, and currently another gap student helps to coach as well. Other members of the schools games' staff help out with coaching on an ad hoc basis.

Intergenerational lunch: For a number of years, Aldwickbury school has been hosting its Intergenerational lunch in collaboration with St. Helen's Church in Wheathampstead. A group of their parishioners have lunch at the school. They are looked after by Year 7, who serve them lunch and sit together. The afternoon finishes with some musical and theatrical entertainment
