Community choir hosted by LGS and conducted by the Director of Music

The Director of Music at LGS hosts and conducts a Leicestershire Community Choir, open to all, with no audition required. The choir rehearses in the LGS Recital room, weekly during Lent Term. Whilst members are predominantly retired, there is a growing attendance from younger members of the public too.

The Choral Society will join Old Leicestrians and the LGS First Orchestra for a fundraising event celebrating 40 years of Leicester Grammar School in June 2022.  This concert will appeal to all generations with local schools invited to participate in the massed choir.

Aims

To provide an inclusive and accessible choir for the local community that does not require previous musical experience.
