Combe Down Athletics and Cross Country

We are delighted that our relationship with Combe Down Primary School now means we can share our playing fields flexibly and at short notice with the children in our immediate vicinity.

This autumn we have welcomed Combe Down Primary School for an interschool Virtual Quadkids event for years 5 & 6, and a Year 3&4 cross country event so far, and we hope to continue this arrangement for the long term.

Aims

The aim of this partnership is to use Monkton's resources to enrich the community as a whole. To develop a day to day strong working relationship with partner schools, that means we are regularly in touch with ideas and opportunities for our pupils.

Background

These opportunities came about as a result of our positive and growing partnership with Combe Down Primary School.

Resources

The initiative uses games pitches and the outdoor space at Monkton on an ad hoc basis.

Impact

140 pupils from Combe Down benefit from being able to take part.

Frequency

This is an ongoing, long-term and developing collaboration.
