CLC Community Kitchen - Springbank Pantry

Making lunches for families in need is an act of kindness that can have a significant impact on both the recipients and the community as a whole.

Aims

Understanding food poverty. Preparing and making healthy lunches for people.

Background

We realised the cost of living crisis was affecting our local community. We met with Feed Cheltenham who suggested we donate to Springbank Pantry.

Resources

We provide bread, cheese, crisps and fruit. We use our Food tech kitchen to prepare the food and it is driven by a staff member to the pantry.

Impact

We make 10 lunches for people who can't afford them.

Pupil Involvement

Our LC2 (Year 8) students make them on a weekly basis.

Frequency

Girls volunteer on a weekly basis.
