Classics Play: Sophocles' Oedipus Rex

Shrewsbury School Classics department put on a performance of Sophocles' Oedipus Rex as a joint production with auditions open to local state partnership schools. 

Aims

To give opportunities to Classics students from schools and partner schools to act- in many cases for the first time and they will also learn about the classical tragedy. 

Resources

Newly refurbished use of the Barnes Theatre at the school.

Impact

Succesful play performed to a full audience made up of friends, family and staff from all schools.
