Canterbury Schools Festival

The four schools chose a program of music which they independently rehearse and then perform in Canterbury Cathedral.

To encourage the enjoyment of making and performing music together.

Not all schools will easily have the opportunity to this in such a wonderful setting.

Sheet music and good teaching by the various schools.

Each school uses their own school facilities.

Staff hours to help with supervision at the event and to provide administration beforehand

Admin and musical leadership costs are provided by the Beacon School.

Those performing and their audience benefit from this event.

The New Beacon school coordinates and administers the event.

Approximately 100 7-18 year old pupils are involved in this event.
