Brass for Africa - Charity Concert

Alison Balsom, three-time winner at the Classic BRITs, held a charity concert at Alleyn's.

Alison Balsom, along with a host of the UK's leading brass and jazz musicains performed at the MCT at Alleyn's as part of the Alleyn's International Concert Series to raise money for Brass for Africa.

Aims

Brass for Africa make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Africa through brass music and brass music education.

Resources

Alleyn's donated its theatre, technical and events staff in the run up to the event and on the evening of the charity concert and Alleyn's students volunteered their time as front-of-house staff for the evening.

The time and expertise in planning and executing the event were pivotal in the success of the sellout event, selling over 350 tickets and raising a grand total of £5,353.65 for the charity.
