Bishop Thomas Grant perform at the MCT

Autumn saw pupils at Bishop Thomas Grant Secondary School in Streatham return to The MCT at Alleyn's, this year to rehearse and perform Joseph, The Musical.

Aims

The partnership with Bishop Thomas Grant is now in its third year. The partnership helps teachers to deliver aspects of the school curriculum and extra-curricular activities. The pupils benefit from learning outside of the classroom. The theatre used for the production gives the pupils a chance to experience a week working within a professional theatre.

Resources

The School hire the venue and facilitties free of charge. The production is supported at all times by a member of Alleyn's technical staff who help rig the staging, lighting and sound equipment. This year the production used haze, projections and pyrotechnic special effects.

The School hired the theatre for 6 days in November and performed the show over three evenings to friends and families.

Frequency

Alleyn's is welcoming Bishop Thomas Grant back to the theatre next Autumn.
