BGS - Bury Blind Society Partnership

BGS sixth form pupils volunteer weekly at the Bury Blind Society meetings and organise and annual cream tea and cake afternoon in the Sixth Form Centre.

Aims

The aim is to facilitate the activities of the Blind Society, to support the blind and partially sighted members that attend the meetings and to allow the 6th form students to develop caring and leadership skills.

Pupil Involvement

Each week in term time, a small group of 6th form pupils attend the Bury Blind Society on a Wednesday afternoon.  They are selected from Year 12 and Year 13.

This is a weekly ongoing activity.
