Barton Peveril Inspire Programme support

Supporting The Inspire Programme at Barton Peveril as they have worked to engage more pupils and prepare them better for Oxbridge applications. 

Aims

To help aspiring Oxbridge applicants prepare for pre-interview assessments.

Background

A Wellington teacher was approached by Shoonagh Hubble who runs the Inspire programme at Barton Peveril and who is a parent of an OW.

Resources

A few hours of teacher time and some photocopying.

Impact

The Inspire Programme has grown and Barton Peveril  have had record applications and offers to Oxbridge, hopefully in some part due to the PIA workshops although it is hard to define causation for certain.

Pupil Involvement

One Wellington teacher and about 30 Barton Peveril pupils (y12) each year .

Frequency

Once or twice a year, it has been going for 4 years now.
