Art Outreach

Two St Edmund’s Art teachers are working with Bridge and Patrixbourne Primary School on outreach workshops (six in total). These have involved learning about different approaches to drawing, including drawing with wire. Pupils have made observational drawings from objects that are used for each of the academic subjects they study. Staff have scanned the pupils' linear drawings and enlarged those onto MDF. The plan is to create a large panel that will be displayed in Bridge Primary's entrance. Future workshops will include further work on the panel as well as some printmaking and wire mobiles. Pupils will also have the opportunity to visit the Art and DT exhibition on the final session.
