Ark Bentworth Partnership

For over 10 years, CLS has worked with Ark Bentworth, a primary school in West London, to provide enrichment experiences for their pupils. This has included Modern Languages, English, Science and PE. In 2019, all the Year 6 pupils from Ark Bentworth came to CLS during the summer term to take part in Science workshops, ‘Debate School’ and sporting activities. Their visit always began with lunch and a chance to meet our boys in Year 6 and 7, thus helping with their transition to secondary school.  In March 2022, pupils from Ark Bentworth visited CLS to participate in an author and illustrator talk alongside pupils from other partner schools and CLS pupils.

A member of CLS staff also serves on their Governing Body (currently the Deputy Head – Co-curricular & Operations) and we host their annual Graduation and Prizegiving Ceremony in the Great Hall.

Aims

Ark Bentworth are committed to providing a meangingful enrichment programme for their Year 6 pupils.

CLS plays a signficant part in helping them deliver on this aim.

The project was established by the former Headteacher Levin. It has been runing for over 10 years and subsequent Heads have been hugely supportive.
