ARCH launch Year 1 partnership

We kicked off our Year 1 partnership activities with an Art workshop, it included collaborating on a large piece of artwork with the theme community! The Year 1 students developed teamwork skills and made new relationships! We are looking to develop this further with more frequent workshops to follow. 

Aims

To connect children in our younger area of the school with local schools and wider community. With an aim to develop soft skills, building relationships and communication. 

Background

The Palmer Academy partnership has been established since October 2022. 

Resources

Outside area in Abbey Gardens, 3 members of teaching staff from The Palmer Academy and 4 members of Abbey School staff. 

Impact

Children worked together and developed communication skills as well as meeting other children in the local community. We are hoping to continue to develop this with play sessions and reading opportunities.
