48-Hour Film Challenge
All Bristol students aged 7-18 were invited to take part in a fast-paced and creative challenge to shoot, edit and submit a short original 4-minute film with any device or their mobile phones within 48 hours, which took place in May 2023.
The project was endorsed by IMDb, boomsatsuma, The Bottle Yard Studios, Sync Ltd and was hosted by Redmaids' High School with proceeds from the competition entrance fee going to local charity, Off The Record.
The Zazi project which is part of 'Off The Record' (OTR) was the charity partner for the challenge and received 100% of the £10 per team entry fee. OTR is a mental health social movement by and for young people aged 11-25 living in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
The event also included the option of free pre-challenge workshops which were provided by industry experts and gave entrants access to mentors at UWE.
The 48-Hour Film Challenge project was initiated by Sarah Bramley-Diamond, Head of Digital Learning at Redmaids' High School.
