24 Mile Challenge

A team of Monkton Graduate Teaching Assistants each ran a mile an hour every hour for 24 hours through the snow and ice on Saturday 23rd - Sunday 24th Jan 2021 to raise money for a local community cooking and food distribution initiative.

Aims

To raise funds and awareness in support of our partnership community cooking and food distribution initiative launching this month.

Resources

This event involved the support of a range of staff members to launch the initiative.

Impact

Over £1000 raised, to be used to directly finance the delivery of packs of ingredients to local families, alongside recipes and instructions videos.

Frequency

This was a one-off event to launch an initiative that will run over the next two terms and then be evaluated for future options.
